Planetary Gear Reducers - A modular design 
series supplying up to 2 million Nm

ROLLSTAR planetary gear reducers are compact gear units providing high torques at low net weights. The most modern computing and manufacturing processes, quality assurance and generously proportioned roller bearings ensure a long service life. The ring gears are made from quenched and tempered alloy steel which is then nitrided; the planetary gears are made from high-grade, hardened carburised steel. The surfaces of the teeth are ground to ensure high load resistance and quiet gear running. All planetary carriers have two sets of bearings and three or more satellite gears which means that dimensions can be substantially reduced. Each planetary stage is available with several reductions, giving a large number of reductions for multi-step gears.

As delivery times become ever shorter, an increasing level flexibility is also required on behalf of gear suppliers. ROLLSTAR constantly fulfils these requirements for the widest possible range of applications and also has the necessary experience and references.

Pictured is a two-stage ROLLSTAR planetary gear reducer, with a keyed shaft on the input side and a flange-type mounting and a splined female output shaft according DIN. Other types of power take-off designs are available on request.
