Rollstar did develop and build a new test facility for high demands in collaboration with experienced and competent partners. Gearboxes as well as hydraulic motors can be tested with power up to 500 kW (750 kW). An efficient recirculation of energy enables a continuous operation at a low power dissipation.
The control and monitoring system of the test facility enable an automatic operation around-the-clock, thereby all required measured values are recorded.
Static as well as dynamic tests can be done. In the air-conditioned test chamber the units are tested under real operation conditions.
The testing of gearboxes is done with two identic gearboxes that are driven each with two electrical motors and summary gear.
Input speed of 0 … 3'500 rpm and input torque between 0 … 6'000 Nm are feasible.
The testing of hydraulic motors is done with frequency-controlled electrical motors that drive hydraulic pumps. Oil flow rate up to 1'000 l/min and pressure up to 400 bar can be generated. The oil flow rate is driving the hydraulic motor that has to be examined. Subsequently the hydraulic motor is driving a summary gear with electrical generators, that can produce defined braking Forces.
