Test bench

Rollstar operates two test benches: a hydraulic motor test bench and a gearbox test bench.

In cooperation with experienced partners, Rollstar developed and built both test benches in-house. Test runs of the respective products take place on the test benches. The units are tested under realistic operating conditions and loaded up to the performance limit.

Both static and dynamic tests can be carried out. The test runs are as energy-efficient as possible. Efficient energy recovery allows continuous operation with low power loss. The systems can run around the clock in automatic operation, while all necessary measured values are recorded.

Hydraulic motor test bench

In hydraulic motor testing, frequency-controlled electric motors drive the hydraulic pumps. Oil flow rates of up to 1000 l/min and pressures of up to 400 bar can be generated. The oil flow drives the hydraulic motor (test specimen) to be tested. The hydraulic motor in turn drives a summation gearbox with generators which can apply defined braking forces.

The high demands of customer use can be tested with our test bench as required. A test and performance diagram is automatically generated for each tested hydraulic motor.

Gearbox test bench

The testing of the finished drive components takes place on site in our own modern gearbox test bench. The gearbox testing is carried out with two gearboxes, which are braced and driven by means of electric motors and summation gearboxes. In this case, drive speeds of 0 … 4,500 rpm. and drive torques of 0 … 13,000 Nm (intermittently 19,500 Nm) are achievable.

With a specially developed shiftable summation gear, this power pack achieves the remarkable test power of 1 megawatt (1000 kW). The conditions prevailing at the customer can thus be optimally simulated before the product comes into actual use.
